Catalog Number: (103495-498)
Supplier: Affymetrix, Inc.
Description: Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 28S subunit protein that belongs to the ribosomal protein S17P family. The encoded protein is moderately conserved between human mitochondrial and prokaryotic ribosomal proteins. Pseudogenes corresponding to this gene are found on chromosomes 1p, 3p, 6q, 14p, 18q, and Xq. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Catalog Number: (102469-266)
Supplier: Affymetrix, Inc.
Description: 5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. Studies of the similar gene in mouse suggested that this receptor can be induced by proinflammatory stimuli, and may be involved in the function of helper T cells. This gene, interleukin 1 receptor, type I (IL1R1), interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2) and interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.

Description: 5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser Siglec-G is an inhibitory receptor that is expressed in a B cell-specific manner with B1 B cells expressing the highest levels of siglec-G. When overexpressed, siglec-G inhibits B cell receptor-mediated calcium signaling. Siglec-G-deficient mice show a massive expansion of the B1a cell population as well as higher titers of natural IgM antibodies. Siglec-G-deficient B1a cells show a lower level of spontaneous apoptosis and a prolonged life span, which may result from higher expression levels of the transcription factor NFATc1. Siglec-G-dependent negative regulation exists in B1 cells, which may explain the naturally muted signaling response of B1 cells.
