Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: 1,2-Butylene Oxide is a hydrogen chloride acceptor in chlorocarbons, e.g. trichloroethylene. It is also a valuable intermediate in many syntheses, e.g. in the production of butylene glycol, 2-amino-1-butanol, and polyols for polyurethane plastics. Other products obtained from it are nonionic surfactants that are used as textile and dyeing auxiliaries, crude oil deemulsifiers, etc. It is also used as a solvent for natural and synthetic resins and in polymerization.
Physical Appearance: Off-White Powder
Solubility: Soluble in Chloroform, Dimetyl Sulfoxide and Ethanol

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Collagen is a group of naturally occurring proteins found in animals, especially in the flesh and connective tissues of vertebrates. It is the main component of connective tissue, and is the most abundant protein in mammals, making up about 25% to 35% of the whole-body protein content.

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Applications
Guanidine hydrochloride can be used as the first step in refolding proteins or enzymes into their active form. Urea and dithiothreitol (DTT) may also be necessary. Also used in the isolation of RNA. It is a strong chaotropic agent useful for the denaturation and subsequent refolding of protein, it can solubilize insoluble or denatured proteins such as inclusion bodies and be used for the recovery of periplasmic proteins. This can be used as the first step in refolding proteins or enzymes into their active form. Urea and dithiothreitol (DTT) may also be necessary. Also used in the isolation of RNA.
Product Description
The crystal structure of Guanidine hydrochloride consists of a network of guanidinium cations and chloride anions linked by N–H•••Cl hydrogen bonds,it is a strong chaotropic agent.Guanidine HCl may agglomerate upon storage. It may appear as a free-flowing crystalline powder, a freeflowing powder with solid material dispersed throughout, or a solid. The quality of the product does not appear to be affected and solutions prepared from the free-flowing and lumpy guanidine HCl appear identical

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: This product acts by binding to the 30S and 50S subunits, causing miscoding and inhibiting initiation and elongation during protein synthesis.

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: HEPES is a zwitterionic organic chemical buffering agent; one of the twelve Good's buffers. HEPES is widely used in cell culture, largely because it is better at maintaining physiological pH despite changes in carbon dioxide concentration (produced by cellular respiration) when compared to bicarbonate buffers, which are also commonly used in cell culture. Its dissociation decreases as the temperature decreases which makes it a more effective buffering agent for maintaining enzyme structure and function at low temperatures.

SDS

Supplier: MP Biomedicals

Description: Proteinase K is a highly active stable endopeptidase with a broad spectrum of action was isolated by E. Merk's Darmstadt Biochemical Research Department in 1970 from a culture filtrate of the fungus, Tritirachium album Limber. This fungus is able to grow on Keratin (e.g., wool, horn particles) as the sole source of carbon and nitrogen. The isolated protease was, therefore, given the K designation.

Description: Isopropyl b-D-1-thiogalactopyranoside is a non-metabolizable galactose analog that induces expression of the lac operon in Escherichia coli. It functions by binding to the lac repressor and altering its conformation. This inactivation prevents the repression of the b-galactosidase coding lac gene.
