Supplier: MilliporeSigma
Description: Accurate analytic results in UV/VIS and infrared spectroscopy depend on the use of very pure solvents for sample preparation. The Uvasol® solvents range has been specially designed for spectroscopy and other applications requiring solvents of the highest spectral purity. The refinement process allows a greater degree of security in applications and avoids misinterpretation of analytical results caused by traces of UV, IR and fluorescence contamination. Uvasol® solvents offer best UV transmittance. In all specifications the minimum transmittance for 5 typical wavelengths are identified. Furthermore the transmittance is specified in accordance with Reag. Ph Eur and ACS.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: Required for the polarization of forebrain neurons which endows axons and dendrites with distinct properties, possibly by locally regulating phosphorylation of microtubule-associated proteins (By similarity). May be involved in the regulation of G2/M arrest in response to UV- or methyl methane sulfonate (MMS)-induced, but not IR-induced, DNA damage. Phosphorylates WEE1 and CDC25B in vitro and CDC25C in vitro and in vivo.Tissue specificity: Widely expressed, with highest levels in brain and testis. Protein levels remain constant throughout the cell cycle.

Description: Insulin receptor substrates (IRS) are responsible for several insulin related activities, such as glucose homeostasis, cell growth, cell transformation, apoptosis and insulin signal transduction. Serine/threonine phosphorylation of IRS1 has been demonstrated to be a negative regulator of insulin signaling and is responsible for its degradation, although IRS1 degradation pathways are not well understood. IRS1 has also been shown to be constitutively activated in cancers such as breast cancer, Wilm's tumors, and adrenal cortical carcinomas, thus making IRS1 phosphorylation and subsequent degradation an attractive therapeutic target. To date there have been four subtypes identified: IRS1, 2, 3 and 4, with IRS1 being widely expressed.

Description: Rabbit IgG TrueBlot® is a unique DyLight™ 800 conjugated anti-rabbit IgG immunoblotting (second step) reagent. Rabbit IgG TrueBlot® enables detection of immunoblotted target protein bands, without hindrance by interfering immunoprecipitating immunoglobulin heavy and light chains. It is easy to generate publication-quality IP/Fluorescent Western Blot data with Rabbit IgG TrueBlot®, simply substitute the conventional DL800 anti-rabbit IgG blotting reagent with Fluorescent Rabbit TrueBlot® Antibody DyLight™ 800 and follow the prescribed protocol for sample preparation and immunoblotting. Ideal for Li Cor Odyssey imaging as well as other IR and near IR imaging systems.

Rabbit IgG TrueBlot® is ideal for use in protocols involving immunoblotting of immunoprecipitated proteins. TrueBlot preferentially detects the non-reduced form of rabbit IgG over the reduced, SDS-denatured form of IgG. When the immunoprecipitate is fully reduced immediately prior to SDS-gel electrophoresis, reactivity of Rabbit IgG TrueBlot® with the 55 kDa heavy chains and the 23 kDa light chains of the immunoprecipitating antibody is minimized thereby eliminating interference by the heavy and light chains of the immunoprecipitating antibody in IP/Western blotting applications. Applications include studies examining post-translational modification (e.g., phosphorylation or acetylation) or protein-protein interactions. Fluorescent Rabbit TrueBlot® Antibody DyLight™ 800 may also be used for detection in immunoassays that do not employ immunoprecipitation.
