Catalog Number: (RL017-0902)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75% of serum immunoglobulins. Immunoglobulin G binds to viruses, bacteria, as well as fungi and facilitates their destruction or neutralization via agglutination (and thereby immobilizing them), activation of the compliment cascade, and opsinization for phagocytosis. The whole IgG molecule possesses both the F(c) region, recognized by high-affinity Fc receptor proteins, as well as the F(ab) region possessing the epitope-recognition site. Both heavy and light chains of the antibody molecule are present.

Supplier: MilliporeSigma
Description: Peptone from gelatin 17.0; peptone from casein 1.5; peptone from meat 1.5; sodium chloride 5.0; lactose 10.0; bile salt mixture 1.5; neutral red 0.03; crystal violet 0.001; agar-agar 13.5.

Supplier: Adipogen
Description: Uncharged, hydrophobic, photostable fluorescent probe that strongly fluoresces bright red in hydrophobic (lipid-rich) environments, but is almost nonfluorescent in water. This lipophilic stain is commonly used for the detection of intracellular lipid droplets in cells such as adipocytes by fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. It has been shown to detect the exposure or formation of new hydrophobic surfaces induced by ligand binding to calmodulin, oligomerization of melittin, or unfolding of ovalbumin during early thermal denaturation. This product has been employed to stain cell structures, as well as to visualize and localize colloidal drug carriers. Has been used to stain lipophilic proteins that have been separated by SDS-PAGE electrophoresis or to detect sphingolipids on thin-layer chromatograms. The fluorescence is unaffected between pH 4.5 and 8.5 and may be used in dilute concentrations to investigate hydrophobic protein sites. Spectral properties: Intracellular fat vacuoles, filled with neutral lipids such as cholesterol, lipoproteins and triglycerides will fluoresce green (Abs/Em =485/525) while polar lipids, such as phospholipids, will fluoresce red (Abs/Em = 552/636 nm).

Catalog Number: (100234-634)
Supplier: Serotec Inc
Description: alamarBlue® is a cell proliferation assay that provides a rapid, sensitive and economical way to quantitatively measure cell proliferation and cytotoxicity in various human and animal cell lines. It can also be used to study mycobacteria, bacteria and fungi.
The following features and benefits establish alamarBlue as a preferred alternative reagent to similar cell proliferation assays (MTT, XTT, 3H Thymidine or neutral red) which will help you to get the results you need:

Supplier: ALADDIN SCIENTIFIC
Description: Agar belongs to the galactan polysaccharides, which make up the intracellular matrix in red seaweeds/marine algae belonging to class Rhodophyta. Agar is naturally slightly sulfated, and is a complex mixture of polysaccharides. Agarose is a neutral polymer component of agar. Heating of agarose gives rise to solution form which on cooling sets into gel form. Gel formation occurs due to double helical formation from molecular chains, which forms a water-immobilizing network.

Description: Chemvelopes are made of a triple protective foil consisting of aluminum, polyethylene and paper which keeps the Hydrion Buffers dry and free-flowing.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: This antibody recognizes a protein of 36 kDa, identified as cyclin D1. Cyclin D1, one of the key cell cycle regulators, is a putative proto-oncogene overexpressed in a wide variety of human neoplasms. This antibody neutralizes the activity of cyclin D1 in vivo. About 60% of mantle cell lymphomas (MCL) contain a t(11; 14)(q13; q32) translocation resulting in over-expression of cyclin D1. This antibody is useful in identifying mantle cell lymphomas (cyclin D1 positive) from CLL/SLL and follicular lymphomas (cyclin D1 negative). Occasionally, hairy cell leukemia and plasma cell myeloma weakly express Cyclin D1.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®640R is a far-red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 642/662 nm) with excellent brightness, and the best photostabiity among spectrally-similar dyes.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: This antibody neutralizes TNF alpha biological activities. It prevents TNF alpha induced apoptosis in Jurkat cells. It also neutralizes HurTNFamediated cytotoxicity of L929 cells and inhibits tumor growth in mice. It protects mice against toxicity of HurTNFa. Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNF alpha) is a protein secreted by lipopolysaccharide-stimulated macrophages, and causes tumor necrosis when injected into tumor bearing mice. TNF alpha is believed to mediate pathogenic shock and tissue injury associated with endotoxemia. TNF alpha exists as a multimer of two, three, or five non-covalently linked units, but shows a single 17 kDa band following SDS PAGE under non-reducing conditions. TNF alpha is closely related to the 25 kDa protein Tumor Necrosis Factor beta (lymphotoxin), sharing the same receptors and cellular actions. TNF alpha causes cytolysis of certain transformed cells, being synergistic with interferon gamma in its cytotoxicity. Although it has little effect on many cultured normal human cells, TNF alpha appears to be directly toxic to vascular endothelial cells. Other actions of TNF alpha include stimulating growth of human fibroblasts and other cell lines, activating polymorphonuclear neutrophils and osteoclasts, and induction of interleukin 1, prostaglandin E2 and collagenase production.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®568 is a red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 562/583 nm) with superior brightness and photostability. It also is compatible with super-resolution imaging by STORM and TIRF.
