Supplier: CUBE BIOTECH
Description: The SMALP BZ series was developed in collaboration with Prof. Bert Klumperman from Nanosene, a spinout company of Stellenbosch University in South Africa. The goal was to create SMALPs that are synthesized via RAFT polymerization, achieving a better defined polymer size and a low dispersity (narrow chain length distribution). This is a significant improvement over previous SMALPs. The SMALP BZs are thus more efficient in dissolving the cell membranes and increasing protein yield.
After successful solubilization of the membrane protein, the protein can be purified using affinity chromatography. For membrane protein purification we recommend using the Rho1D4-tag. Cube Biotech offers matching products for this purpose.

Catalog Number: (103475-630)
Supplier: Affymetrix, Inc.
Description: MA5-17296 targets Dengue Virus 2 NS5 in ICC, IF, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Virus samples. The MA5-17296 immunogen is synthetic peptide contains a sequence corresponding to a region within amino acids 829 and 900 of NS5 (Dengue Virus 2). Dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever are acute febrile diseases, found in the tropics and Africa. Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus) mosquito, which feeds during the day.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Rift Valley Fever (RFV) virus is an arthropod-borne virus endemic to Africa that infects humans and animals that is transmitted predominantly by mosquitoes (1). During human infections, symptoms can range from benign fever to severe encephalitis and fatal hepatitis with hemorrhagic fever. The Bunyaviridae family of viruses to which the RVF virus belongs are spherical enveloped viruses with a tripartite RNA genome of negative or ambisense polarity (2). The three segments are referred to as the L, M, and S segments. The L and M segments are negative polarity and code fore the L-dependent RNA polymerase and glycoprotein precursor respectively. The S segment is of ambisense polarity and encodes the nucleoprotein and non-structural proteins (3).

Description: West Nile Virus (WNV), the most widespread among flaviviruses, was first isolated from the serum of a febrile woman in 1937 in the West Nile district of Uganda. West Nile virus was first detected in North America in 1999 and has subsequently spread throughout the United States and Canada and into Mexico and the Caribbean. In Africa, southern Europe, western Asia, and the United States, WNV has been isolated from mosquitoes of more than 40 species. In the United States, Canada, and Israel, WNV is responsible for significant avian mortality.

Description: MA1-82795 recognizes all four Dengue Virus serotypes (DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4) of the genus Flavivirus. In Western blot, MA1-82795 detects an anti-E/envelope specific band at ~61kDa under reducing conditions. A weak secondary band of 80kDa may also be apparent. Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using a sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for the staining of paraffin sections. Supplier: Prosci
Description: West Nile Virus Matrix Antibody: West Nile Virus (WNV) is a member of the Flaviviridae, a plus-stranded virus family that includes St. Louis encephalitis virus, yellow fever virus, and Dengue virus. WNV was initially isolated in 1937 in the West Nile region of Uganda and has become prevalent in Africa, Asia, and Europe. It has rapidly spread across the United States with cases being observed in every continental state. Virus particles consist of a dense core made up of the core/capsid protein encapsulating the RNA genome surrounded by a membrane envelope embedded with envelope and matrix proteins. However, when the viruses are inside of infected cells, the matrix protein exists in its "pre-M" form as a heterodimer with the envelope proteins. Cleavage of the "pre-M" protein to its mature form occurs during release of the virus; this cleavage leas to the dissociation of the heterodimers. The WNV receptor has recently been identified as alpha v beta 3 integrin.

Description: Rift Valley Fever Virus antibody detects RVF virus. Rift Valley Fever (RFV) virus is an arthropod-borne virus endemic to Africa that infects humans and animals that is transmitted predominantly by mosquitoes. During human infections, symptoms can range from benign fever to severe encephalitis and fatal hepatitis with hemorrhagic fever. The Bunyaviridae family of viruses to which the RVF virus belongs are spherical enveloped viruses with a tripartite RNA genome of negative or ambisense polarity. The three segments are referred to as the L, M, and S segments. The L and M segments are negative polarity and code fore the L-dependent RNA polymerase and glycoprotein precursor respectively. The S segment is of ambisense polarity and encodes the nucleoprotein and non-structural proteins. This RVF virus antibody was derived from a peptide sequence near the carboxy terminus of the polyprotein precursor translated from the M segment. It will therefore detect both the precursor and the Glycoprotein G2. Anti-Rift Valley Fever Virus antibodies are ideal for investigators involved in infectious disease research.
