Description: Ro autoantigens are of clinical significance because directed against them are found in most patients with primary Sjqgren syndrome, subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SLE), neonatal lupus erythematosus, ANA-negative lupus erythematosus, and systemic lupus erythematosus-like disease secondary to homozygous C2 or C4 complement deficiency (1). Ro/SSA is a ribonucleoprotein that binds to auto in 35 to 50% of patients with SLE and in up to 97% of patients with Sjqgren syndrome (2). The Ro/SSA particle consists of a single immunoreactive protein noncovalently bound with one of four small RNA molecules (2). Most anti-Ro/SSA-positive sera detect not only the main protein, but also a smaller Ro/SSA protein (2). The genes which encode the smaller and larger proteins map to human chromosomes 11p15.5 and 1q31, respectively (3?). La/SSB is an autoimmune RNA-binding protein that plays a role in the transcription of RNA polymerase III was originally defined by its reactivity with auto from patients with Sjren syndrome and SLE (6).

Catalog Number: (10662-818)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Component of the CCM signaling pathway which is a crucial regulator of heart and vessel formation and integrity (By similarity). Negative regulator of angiogenesis. Inhibits endothelial proliferation, apoptosis, migration, lumen formation and sprouting angiogenesis in primary endothelial cells. Promotes AKT phosphorylation in a NOTCH-dependent and independent manner, and inhibits ERK1/2 phosphorylation indirectly through activation of the DELTA-NOTCH cascade. Acts in concert with CDH5 to establish and maintain correct endothelial cell polarity and vascular lumen and these effects are mediated by recruitment and activation of the Par polarity complex and RAP1B. Required for the localization of phosphorylated PRKCZ, PARD3, TIAM1 and RAP1B to the cell junction, and cell junction stabilization. Plays a role in integrin signaling via its interaction with ITGB1BP1; this prevents the interaction between ITGB1 and ITGB1BP1. Microtubule-associated protein that binds to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2)-containing membranes in a GTP-bound RAP1-dependent manner. Plays an important role in the maintenance of the intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) homeostasis to prevent oxidative cellular damage. Regulates the homeostasis of intracellular ROS through an antioxidant pathway involving FOXO1 and SOD2. Facilitates the down-regulation of cyclin-D1 (CCND1) levels required for cell transition from proliferative growth to quiescence by preventing the accumulation of intracellular ROS through the modulation of FOXO1 and SOD2 levels.

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: Novel inhibitor of NAD(P)H oxidase (Nox). In vascular smooth muscle cells VAS-2870 completely abolished PDGF-mediated NAD(P)H oxidase activation and ROS production (100% at 10µM). It inhibits PDGF-induced chemotaxis but not proliferation of VSMC. In mouse embryonic stem cells VAS-2870 blocked PDGF-BB-induced vasculogenesis. OxLDL-induced ROS formation in human endothelial cells was completely inhibited by VAS-2870 (100% at 5µM). VAS-2870 inhibits PMS-induced oxidative burst in HL-60 cells (IC50=2µM).

Description: Cell permeable, non-alkylating, non-thiol, adduct-forming, redox cycling quinone. Intracellular superoxide anion formation/ROS generation inducer. Anticancer agent. Shown to induce cell proliferation, apoptosis, necrosis and necroptosis in vitro, dependent on concentration, time, temperature and cell type. Valuable tool for the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in order to study the role of ROS in cell toxicity, apoptosis and necrosis. Useful as reference compound in characterizing the effects of oxidative stress. Can be used to eliminate any mechanistic ambiguity involving redox cycling quinoids as the source of reactive oxidant species/oxidative stress in biological studies.

Description: Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are highly reactive molecules that are a normal consequence of aerobic metabolism. Cellular ROS damage can induce apoptosis and spontaneous mutagenesis. Oxr1 (Oxidation resistance protein 1) is a 758 amino acid mitochondrial protein that is most likely involved in protection from oxidative damage. Oxr1 is highly conserved from yeast to humans and is specific to eukaryotes.Induced by heat and oxidative stress, the carboxyl-terminal half of Oxr1 is required for its function. Upregulation of superoxide dismutase and catalase was observed in developing drosophila mutants that lacked the gene encoding Oxr1, suggesting that oxidative stress may trigger compensatory protein expression. There are four isoforms of Oxr1 that are produced as a result of alternative splicing events.
