Catalog Number: (102516-242)
Supplier: Adipogen
Description: Nitric oxide (NO)- and heme-independent soluble guanylyl cyclase activator. Shows potent cardiovascular effects. Improves cardiopulmonary hemodynamics in patients with acute decompensated heart failure. Exhibits potent vasodilator and antiplatelet activity. Anti-aggregating agent.

Small Business Enterprise

Supplier: MilliporeSigma
Description: Inhibitor of calpain I (Ki=190nM), calpain II (Ki=220nM), cathepsin B (Ki=150nM) and cathepsin L (Ki=0.5nM). Inhibits neutral cysteine proteases and the proteasome (Ki=6µM). Protects against neuronal damage caused by hypoxia and ischemia. Inhibits apoptosis in thymocytes and metamyelocytes. Also inhibits retrovirus-induced apoptosis in L929 cells. Inhibits the proteolysis of I[kappa]B-[alpha] and I[kappa]B-[beta] by the ubiquitin-proteasome complex. Inhibits cell cycle progression at G1/S and metaphase/anaphase in CHO cells by inhibiting cyclin B degradation. Also prevents nitric oxide production by activated macrophages by interfering with transcription of the inducible nitric oxide synthase gene.
Supplier: Adipogen
Description: Photo-stable fluorescent probe (Ex: ~565nm; Em: 580nm) for the detection of nitric oxide (NO).

Catalog Number: (76482-408)
Supplier: AAT BIOQUEST INC
Description: Peroxynitrite (ONOO-) is a strong oxidizing species and a highly active nitrating agent.

Supplier: Adipogen
Description: Reference compound for the fluorescent (nitric oxide) NO probe DAR-1.

Catalog Number: (10336-436)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is a messenger molecule with diverse functions throughout the body. In macrophages, NO mediates tumoricidal and bactericidal actions. Also has nitrosylase activity and mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of cytoplasmic target proteins such COX2.

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: Widely used diabetes inducer in rodents. Inhibition of β-cell O-GlcNAcase by streptozotocin is the mechanism that accounts for its diabetogenic toxicity. N-nitroso-containing antibiotic, acting as a nitric oxide (NO) donor and vasorelaxant. Relaxes phenylephrine-contracted aortic rings at 10µM. Potent methylating agent for DNA.

Catalog Number: (76084-460)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is implicated in vascular smooth muscle relaxation through a cGMP-mediated signal transduction pathway. NO mediates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis in coronary vessels and promotes blood clotting through the activation of platelets. May play a significant role in normal and abnormal limb development.

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: A potent and selective, cell-permeable inhibitor of nitric oxide (NO)-sensitive soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC). Inhibition is irreversible. Inhibits also the basal, the YC-1 and the coenhanced sGC activity. Complete inhibition of NO-induced relaxation in vascular and nonvascular smooth muscle at 1μM.

Catalog Number: (10068-970)
Supplier: Prosci
Description: Neuronal phosphoprotein that coats synaptic vesicles, binds to the cytoskeleton, and is believed to function in the regulation of neurotransmitter release. The complex formed with NOS1 and CAPON proteins is necessary for specific nitric-oxid functions at a presynaptic level

Catalog Number: (80058-038)
Supplier: MilliporeSigma
Description: Endogenous inhibitor of nitric oxide synthesis in vitro and in vivo. Does not exhibit any significant inhibitory effect on NOS activity. Purity: single component by TLC. Soluble in water. CAS: 65005-57-4. FW: 275.2. 25mg white solid.

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences
Description: Cell permeable peptide that blocks eNOS (NOS III) activity and cellular nitric oxide (NO) release in vitro and reduces inflammation and tumorigenesis in vivo. Caveolin-1 interacts with several lipid-modified signalling ligands, such as EGFR, eNOS, G-protein α-subunits, PKCα, H-Ras, and Src, via the C1-SD82-101 sequence.

Catalog Number: (77436-688)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Nitric oxide (NO) is an inorganic, gaseous free radical that carries a variety of messages between cells. Vasorelaxation, neurotransmission and cytotoxicity can all be potentiated through cellular response to NO. NO production is mediated by members of the nitric oxide synthase (NOS) family. NOS catalyzes the oxidization of L-arginine to produce L-citrulline and NO. Two constitutive isoforms, brain or neuronal NOS (b or nNOS, type I) and endothelial cell NOS (eNOS, type III), and one inducible isoform (iNOS, type II), have been cloned. All NOS isoforms contain calmodulin, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH), flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), and flavin mononucleotide (FMN) binding domains. Nitric oxide synthase is expressed in liver, macrophages, hepatocytes, synoviocytes, stimulated glial cells and smooth muscle cells. Cytokines such as interferon-gamma (IFN), tumor necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin-1 and -2, and lipopolysaccarides (LPS) cause an increase in iNOS mRNA, protein, and activity levels. Protein kinase C-stimulating agents exhibit the same effect on iNOS activity. After cytokine induction, iNOS exhibits a delayed activity response which is then followed by a significant increase in NO production over a long period of time. Human iNOS is regulated by calcium/calmodulin (in contrast with mouse NOS₂).
