Description: Recombinant human soluble vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1 (sVEGFR-1) is the naturally occurring form and is a glycosylated monomeric protein. The biological function of sVEGFR-1 seems to be an endogenous regulator of angiogenesis, binding VEGF with the same affinity as the full-length receptor. VEGFR-1 is a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for VEGFA, VEGFB and PGF, and plays an essential role in the development of embryonic vasculature, the regulation of angiogenesis, cell survival, cell migration, macrophage function, chemotaxis and cancer cell invasion. It may play an essential role as a negative regulator of embryonic angiogenesis by inhibiting excessive proliferation of endothelial cells. It can promote endothelial cell proliferation, survival and angiogenesis in adulthood. Its function in promoting cell proliferation seems to be cell-type specific. Promotes PGF-mediated proliferation of endothelial cells, proliferation of some types of cancer cells, but does not promote proliferation of normal fibroblasts (in vitro). It has a very high affinity for VEGFA and relatively low protein kinase activity. It may function as a negative regulator of VEGFA signaling by limiting the amount of free VEGFA and preventing its binding to KDR. Modulates KDR signaling by forming heterodimers with KDR. Ligand binding leads to the activation of several signaling cascades. Activation of phospholipase C-gamma (PLCG) leads to the production of the cellular signaling molecules diacylglycerol and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and the activation of protein kinase C. Mediates phosphorylation of PIK3R1, the regulatory subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, leading to activation of phosphatidylinositol kinase and the downstream signaling pathway. Mediates activation of MAPK1/ERK2, MAPK3/ERK1 and the MAP kinase signaling pathway, as well as of the AKT1 signaling pathway. Phosphorylates SRC and YES1 and may also phosphorylate CBL.

Description: PARP-1 (ARTD1) is involved in the base excision repair (BER) pathway, by catalyzing the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of a limited number of acceptor proteins involved in chromatin architecture and in DNA metabolism. This modification follows DNA damages and appears as an obligatory step in a detection/signaling pathway leading to the reparation of DNA strand breaks. PARP-1 positively regulates the transcription of MTUS1 and negatively regulates the transcription of MTUS2/TIP150. It forms a complex with EEF1A1 and TXK that acts as a T-helper 1 (Th1) cell-specific transcription factor and binds the promoter of IFN-gamma to directly regulate its transcription, and is thus involved importantly in Th1 cytokine production.

Description: CDKL3 or cyclin-dependent kinase-like 3 is a member of cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) family which is highly similar to the gene products of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cdc28, and Schizosaccharomyces pombe cdc2, and is known to be important regulators of cell cycle progression and cellular proliferation. CDKL3 is a novel CDC2-related kinase with features of both mitogen-activated protein kinases and cyclin-dependent kinases (1). CDKL3 is identified as a gene absent in leukemic patients with chromosome 5q deletion and this loss may be an important determinant of dysmyelopoiesis (2). CDKL3 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins, Cellular Proteins, Cancer, Cell Cycle, and Ser/Thr Kinases research.

Description: OX40L, a member of the TNF superfamily of structurally related proteins, exists primarily as a type II membrane-bound, non-covalently linked, homotrimeric protein. It is expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs), such as dendritic cells and activated B-cells, as well as on various other cells such as vascular endothelial cells, mast cells, and natural killer cells. OX40L signals specifically through the OX40 receptor, which is expressed predominantly on CD4+ T cells, but also on certain activated CD8+ T cells. OX40/OX40L functions as a costimulatory signal, which is required for a productive interaction between antigen-presenting cells and their target T-cells. It enhances cell proliferation and survival, and increases expression of RANTES, IL-2, IL-3, and IFNγ. OX40/OX40L signaling plays an important role in immuno-regulatory communication, enabling the immune system to distinguish between “friend vs. foe” during activation; a mechanism typically termed immuno-tolerance. Recombinant Human sOX40 Ligand is a glycosylated 133 amino acid protein corresponding to the extracellular TNF homologous domain of the full length transmembrane protein. It migrates with an apparent molecular mass of 15.5 – 25.0 kDa on SDS-PAGE. Recombinant Human sOX40 Ligand has a calculated, theoretical molecular weight of 15.4 kDa.

Description: BCR (also known as breakpoint cluster region) encodes a phosphoprotein that has serine/threonine kinase activity (1). The human c-ABL oncogene is translocated from chromosome 9 to a region on chromosome 22 (associated with BCR) in chronic myelocytic leukemia. In classical t(9;22) translocation, as observed in chronic granulocytic leukemia (CGL), a hybrid DNA unit is produced comprising the BCR gene product plus the translocated c-ABL gene from chromosome 9. The BCR-ABL hybrid protein (p210) is formed that displays increased tyrosine kinase activity. A similar DNA rearrangement of the p210 protein is also found in cases of Philadelphia-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) (2). BCR Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins, Cellular Proteins, and Cancer research.

Description: NFATC1 is a member of the NFAT family of proteins which are Ca2+/calcineurin-responsive transcription factors primarily recognized for their central roles in T lymphocyte activation and cardiac valve development (1). NFAT consists of at least two components: a preexisting cytosolic component that translocates to the nucleus upon T-cell receptor (TCR) stimulation, and an inducible nuclear component. Proteins belonging to the NFAT family of transcription factors play a central role in inducible gene transcription during immune response. The product of NFATC1 is an inducible nuclear component and functions as a major molecular target for the immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporin A (2). NFATC1 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins, Transcription Proteins, Cardiovascular Disease, Inflammation, JNK/SAPK Pathway, NfkB Pathway, and p38 Pathway research.
