Supplier: Bioss
Description: NR1D1, a NR1 Thyroid Hormone-Like Receptor, is encoded by the same genomic locus as, but transcribed from the opposite strand of, Thyroid Hormone Receptor Alpha (TR Alpha). NR1D1 is a target of Nuclear Receptor ROR Alpha and a transcription regulator that has been shown to affect myocyte differentiation, adipogenesis, and lipoprotein metabolism. Mice lacking NR1D1 show abnormal postnatal cerebellar development. NR1D1 expression has been documented in human skeletal muscle and a variety of mouse and rat tissues. ESTs have been isolated from human tissue libraries, including cancerous adrenal, blood, brain, breast, colon, duodenum, fetus, head/neck, kidney, lung, skeletal muscle, skin, synovium, uterus, normal brain, breast, colon, eye, heart, pancreas, pituitary, prostate, skeletal muscle, skin, testis and thyroid.

Supplier: Biotium
Description: This MAb recognizes a protein of ~50 kDa which is identified as Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP). It shows no cross-reaction with other intermediate filament proteins. GFAP is specifically found in astroglia. GFAP is a very popular marker for localizing benign astrocyte and neoplastic cells of glial origin in the central nervous system. Antibody to GFAP is useful in differentiating primary gliomas from metastatic lesions in the brain and for documenting astrocytic differentiation in tumors outside the CNS.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®640R is a far-red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 642/662 nm) with excellent brightness, and the best photostabiity among spectrally-similar dyes.

Catalog Number: (89359-594)
Supplier: Genetex
Description: ROR gamma, a NR1 Thyroid Hormone-Like receptor, has been shown to affect thymopoiesis, bone metabolism, T-cell apoptosis, and lymphoid organogenesis. ROR gamma has been shown to promote thymocyte survival by activating the expression of the antiapoptotic protein Bcl-x(L). ROR gamma is also required for the development of lymph nodes and Peyer's patches. It has been shown that ROR gamma t, a thymus-specific isoform of ROR gamma from mouse, inhibits Fas ligand expression and cytokine secretion in immature thymocytes. ROR gamma binds as a monomer to response elements composed of a single core motif, GGTCA, preceded by a 6 bp AT-rich sequence. ROR gamma expression has been documented in mouse thymus, adipose, bone, skeletal muscle, liver, and kidney, and in human skeletal muscle.
