G-Biosciences offers various sized supplies of the following hybridization buffers: Church & Gilbert’s [2X], Denhardt Solution [100X], Hybridization Denaturing Solution, Hybridization Neutralizing Solution, SSC [20X], SSPE [20X], TMAC Hyb Solution [3X], and TNT Buffer.
G-Biosciences' Church & Gilbert’s Hybridization Buffer is prepared from molecular biology grade SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate), monosodium phosphate (NaHPO₄), EDTA (ethylenediaminetetracetic acid) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) Fraction V using DNase-, RNase- and Protease-free water. It consists of 1mM EDTA, 1% BSA, 0.5M sodium phosphate monobasic, and 7% SDS (at a pH of 7.2).
G-Biosciences' Denhardt Solution is suitable for nucleic acid hybridization. Denhardt's solution is a mixture of high-molecular weight polymers capable of saturating non-specific binding sites and artificially increasing the concentration of available probe. It consists of 2% Ficoll 400, 300mM NaCl, 2% polyvinylpyrrolidone, and 2% BSA.
The SSC or Saline-Sodium Citrate Buffer is a hybridization buffer to control stringency for washing steps in protocols for Southern blotting, in situ hybridization, DNA Microarray or Northern blotting. It consists of 0.3 M sodium citrate (at a pH of 7.0) and 3 M NaCl.
The SSPE or or Saline-Sodium phosphate-EDTA Buffer is a general hybridization buffer that consists of 0.2 M phosphate buffer (at a pH of 7.4), 2.98 M NaCl, and 0.02 M EDTA.
The TMAC Hybridization Solution consists of 3 M Tetramethyl ammonium chloride, 50mm Tris-HCl (at a pH of 8.0), 1 mm EDTA (at a pH of 8.0), and 0.1% SDS.
The TNT Buffer is a general molecular biology and hybridization buffer that consists of 0.1 M Tris.HCl (at a pH of 7.5), 0.15 M NaCl, and 0.05% Tween®-20.
