Phenolphthalein, Powder, Reagent, ACS is a chemical compound that varies in color according to the acidity level of the solution it is in. It has traditionally been used as a laxative but has more recently been used as part of a test to identify blood in substances, known as the Kastle-Mayer test. It is also used in certain toys to create disappearing ink effect.
