8-Hydroxyquinoline Sulfate, Reagent is a monoprotic bidentate metal chelating agent extracted from coal tar. The resulting complexes, as well as the heterocycle itself, exhibit antiseptic, disinfectant, and pesticide properties. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
