2-(2-Ethoxyethoxy)ethanol, Reagent is a clear, colorless, hygroscopic liquid that causes drying of skin by leaching fats, and is mildly irritating to the eyes. Its major use is an industrial solvent and its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
