Diethylamine, Reagent is a secondary amine that is a flammable, volatile, strongly alkaline, colorless liquid that has a strong unpleasant smell. It is used in the production of rubber, resin, dyes and pharmaceuticals and as a corrosion inhibiter. Its Reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
