Behenyl Alcohol is a natural vegetable source saturated fatty alcohol used to regulate viscosity in formulations. It functions as a thickener and stabilizer and may be used as a co-emulsifier. May be used in water-in-oil emulsions, oil-in-water emulsions, and anhydrous formulations such as ointments, body butters and scrubs. It will produce elegant emulsions and impart a soft, velvety feel to the skin.
