Polyurethane Intravascular Tubings
Tubing Transfer Tubing
The most commonly used formulation of polyurethane for laboratory animal research. It is the same tubing used to make finished catheters.

  • Good biocompatibility for implantation
  • Stretchy for excellent friction fit on connectors
  • Bondable

The 2 and 3 Fr sizes have been specially extruded to have ideal fits with PinPorts™ and Vascular Access Buttons™; the 2 Fr fits 25 G, and the 3 Fr fits 22 G. Relatively kink-resistant, the 1 Fr size is used in two-piece mouse catheters; the 32 G size is used in intrathecal catheters.

When planning to use this tubing as an implanted catheter in a survival surgery, note that animal welfare regulations require that the tubing be sterilized. If you do not have access to an ethylene oxide sterilizer, which is typically the only appropriate method of sterilization polyurethane tubing, please contact the manufacturer.
