A lightweight, and durable fabric, DuPont™ Tychem® 2000 utilizes the strength of DuPont™ Tyvek® fabric and a polyethylene coating.
- Standard fit hood
- Elastic wrists and ankles
- Storm flap with adhesive closure
- Bound seams
Tychem® 2000 fabric provides at least 30 minutes of protection against 42 chemical challenges. Tychem® 2000 is used for light splash protection in a variety of industrial environments, including petroleum refining, pulp and paper manufacturing, food processing, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Tightly sewn seam is covered with garment fabric to reinforce seam and reduce potential for particle penetration. Attached hood with elastic around face opening is standard fit. Storm flap covers zipper, which can be sealed by the wearer with adhesive strip to prevent intrusion at zipper. Elastic openings at wrists and ankles allow for a tighter fit.
Tychem® QC coveralls provide a minimum of 30 minutes of protection against 42 chemical challenges. Coveralls are available in three seam styles; serged, bound, or taped. Garments with serged seams feature multiple interlocking threads sewn around the raw edges of the garment material to create a strong, stress-resistant seam. Garments with bound seams feature a tightly sewn seam covered with garment fabric to reinforce the seam and reduce the potential for particle penetration. Garments with bound seams also feature a storm flap covering the front zipper that can be sealed with an adhesive strip to further prevent intrusion. Garments with taped seams feature a sewn seam covered with a strip of compatible chemical-resistant material through heatsealing. Taped seam coveralls also feature a storm flap covering the front zipper that can be sealed with an adhesive strip to further prevent intrusion.
All coveralls are equipped with a standard fit hood with elastic around the face opening, and elastic wrists and ankles for a tighter fit.
The result is a rugged and tough barrier fabric that resists punctures and tears. Tychem® QC coveralls are suitable for a wide variety of applications, including petroleum refining, pulp and paper manufacturing, food processing, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. In addition, the material also provides excellent resistance against biohazards such as blood, body fluid, and viral contaminants. The highly visible yellow finish aids in worker safety by ensuring contrast across a wide range of natural backgrounds, and within both dim and brightly lit environments.
