Virus Recombinant SARS-COV-2 Trim Spike Beta Strain 100 µg (from Insect Cells)
Supplier: ReVacc Scientific
A recombinant trimeric form of the spike glycoprotein (S protein) of SARS-Cov-2 (GenBank: MN908947) bearing mutations identified in Beta variant, including L18F, D80A, D215G, L242-244del, R246I, K417N, E484K, N501Y, D614G, and A701V, was produced by human embryonic kidney HEK293F cells, followed by purification.
- Protein function: Bind to its receptor
This product contains ectodomain of S protein with S1/S2 cleavage site knocked-down, and also had a pair of mutations (N1067P and L1068P), a HRV3C cleavage site, T4 foldon trimerization domain, C-terminal 8 hexa-histidine tag and twin-strep tag. Twin-strep tag can be used for streptavidin labeling.
This product has been run on SDS-PAGE with reduced condition with result showing pure and expected size. The binding to two control mAbs, S2 subunit-specific RV82 (Catalog # V87W71) and CR3022 antibody was tested in ELISAs. Two antibodies targeting NTD or RBD showed abolished binding to this spike, compared with WT spike, as all mutations occur within NTD or RBD.
