Supplier: ReVacc Scientific
A recombinant trimeric form of the spike glycoprotein (S protein) of SARS-Cov-2 (Wuhan strain, GenBank: MN908947) was produced by human embryonic kidney HEK293F cells, followed by purification.
- Protein function: Bind to its receptor
This product contains ectodomain of S protein with S1/S2 cleavage site knocked-down, and also had a pair of mutations (N1067P and L1068P), a HRV3C cleavage site, T4 foldon trimerization domain, C-terminal 8 hexa-histidine tag and twin-strep tag. Twin-strep tag can be used for streptavidin labeling.
This product has been run on SDS-PAGE with reduced condition and Native blue gels as well as SEC, with results proving trimerization and glycosylation. The binding to two control mAbs and CR3022 was tested in ELISAs.
