BBL™ Taxo™ Anaerobe Differentiation Discs Set, BD Diagnostics
Supplier: BD
These discs are recommended for use in the presumptive identification of gram-negative anaerobic bacilli based on differences in susceptibility to antimicrobial agents.
These discs are used for the differentiation of gram-negative anaerobic bacilli on the basis of in vitro testing of pure cultures against selected antimicrobial agents using the agar diffusion method. Growth of the microorganisms may be inhibited by the antimicrobial agent diffusing out from the disc, resulting in a zone of inhibition around the disc.
These ¹/₄" discs are made from high quality absorbent paper impregnated with accurately determined amounts of antimicrobial agents. They are furnished in cartridges containing 50 discs each. The last disc in each cartridge is marked 'X' and contains the drug as coded.
Store containers of discs at –20 to 8 °C.
