NucView® substrates consist of a fluorogenic DNA dye coupled to the caspase-3/7 DEVD recognition sequence. Upon entering apoptotic cells, the non-fluorescent substrate is cleaved by caspases-3/7 releasing a high-affinity DNA binding dye which migrates to the nucleus and becomes fluorescent upon binding to DNA.
The NucView® 488 caspase-3 assay kit for live cells comes with a caspase-3 inhibitor. It is sufficient for 100 flow cytometry or microplate assays (200 uL assay volume). The trial size kit contains sufficient reagents for 25 assays (200 uL assay volume). The number of fluorescence microscopy assays that can be performed with the kit may vary based on the size of culture vessel and staining volume used. The kit provides a convenient tool for profiling apoptotic cell population based on caspase-3 activity by fluorescence microscopy, live cell imaging or flow cytometry.
The dual Apoptosis Assay with NucView® 488 Caspase-3 Substrate and Annexin V provides two apoptosis markers, our novel NucView® 488 Caspase-3 Substrate and Annexin V conjugated with your choice of red or far-red dye. The kit is used for studying two important apoptosis events, caspase-3 activation and phosphatidylserine (PS) translocation. The kit contains sufficient reagents for 50 flow cytometry assays (200 uL assay volume). The number of fluorescence microscopy assays that can be performed with the kit may vary based on the size of culture vessel and staining volume used.
The NucView® 488 and MitoView™ 633 Apoptosis assay kit contains the NucView®488 Caspase-3 Substrate and the MitoView™633 mitochondrial dye. The kit provides a convenient tool for profiling apoptotic cells based on caspase-3 activity and changes in the mitochondrial membrane potential using either fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry
The NucView® 488 and RedDot™2 apoptosis and necrosis assay kit provide a convenient tool for profiling apoptotic and necrotic cell populations by fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. While NucView®488 staining is formaldehyde-fixable and compatible with subsequent immunostaining, fixation after staining with RedDot™ is not recommended because it can result in increased background staining of healthy cells.
